Dr. Juan C. Levesque is an accomplished Marine Biologist who is certified by the American Fisheries Society as a Fisheries Professional and a licensed United States Coast Guard OUPV Captain. He has over 25 years of experience studying marine resources throughout the western North Atlantic Ocean. As a Marine Biologist, Dr. Levesque has held professional positions with non-profit organizations, state and federal governments, and small and large private environmental firms. Dr. Levesque has a Bachelor's in Biology from the University of South Florida, a Master's in Marine Biology from Nova Southeastern University, and a Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Science from the University of Texas at Arlington. Obsessed with the outdoors, Dr. Levesque is an avid outdoor adventurist who loves outdoor action sports like bowhunting, fishing, and backpacking. Besides enjoying outdoor sports, he also has a passion for motorsports.

Growing up in Maine, Dr. Juan C. Levesque fell in love with the ocean and outdoor sports as a child. In pursuit of his dream, Juan moved to Florida in the 1980s to study marine biology. Over the past 25 years, he has held a variety of  professional positions. In his career, Juan has assisted and led a variety of projects from the historic Grand Banks off Newfoundland, Canada to the remote freshwater jungle rivers of Nicaragua.



Dr. Juan C. Levesque has substantial project management, field, and technical experience overseeing complex marine resource projects throughout the United States and the western North Atlantic Ocean, including the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea. In addition, he has given talks on numerous environmental subjects to different audiences and written a variety of documents including technical peer review articles  and magazine features.


Besides working as a Marine Biologist, Dr. Juan C. Levesque loves the great outdoors, and especially outdoor adventures. As a classic Generation Xer, his adventurist passion includes bowhunting, fishing, backpacking, motorsports, and traveling. He has pursued a variety of marine species throughout  the U.S., and hunted game from the swamps of Florida, and the northern forests of Alberta, Canada, to the great plains of Africa.  


Juan and Frances have been together for over 20 years. Over the years, they have shared countless adventures. They have three boys and six grandchildren. Juan and Frances also love sharing their home with their beautiful furry family members, and hanging out with friends. They enjoy sports, traveling, and attending sporting events and concerts. Juan and Frances also enjoy attending  church on Sunday morning.
